General Summary

As the Accounting Manager, you will support accounting leadership with responsibilities in managing the day to day accounting functions, monthly close activities and financial reporting for all SaaS entities.

We are looking for someone directly out of public accounting to strengthen the accounting team’s technical knowledge base, improve existing documentation and reconciliations, and help in ongoing identification of discrepancies in internal control.

You will sit directly with the Accounting team, work in close collaboration with the engineering and customer success teams, and report to the Assistant Controller.

Core Functions

• Oversee the accounting function of and ensuring timely and accurate reporting of all financial information for all SaaS entities
• Own continual process improvement and documentation across monthly, quarterly, and annual close
• Review monthly balance sheet account reconciliations to ensure 100% accuracy
• Coaches staff and senior accountants on audit readiness
• Responsible for providing documentation and explanations to external auditors throughout annual audit for SaaS entities
• Assists in the preparation of consolidated financial statements and related footnote disclosures
• Assists leadership in providing ad-hoc financial information for external users
• Assists in the implementation of new accounting pronouncements
• Manage and monitor day to day activity of the accounting staff
• Actively participates in new projects including technical accounting research, design and implementation of internal controls and policies, and establishment of best practices
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• CPA license
• 4+ years of public accounting experience
• 2+ years of supervision of staff and the ability to motivate a team to produce quality work within tight deadlines and simultaneously manage multiple projects
• Advanced knowledge of US GAAP
• Professional written and verbal communication skills

Desired Qualifications

• Experience with mid-size private companies with international subsidiaries and consolidation preferred
• Experience with business combinations a plus
• Ability to participate in and facilitate meetings
• Team oriented, with the ability to effectively communicate between all levels and departments of the organization
• Intellectual curiosity; ready to roll up sleeves
• Good organizational and time management skills

Compensation

Peaksware is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The salary range for this role in Colorado is $65,410 - $109,017. This position is also remote-friendly and, as such, compensation will ultimately be in line with the location in which the position is filled. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as a candidate’s relevant work experience, skills, certifications, and geographic location.

This role is eligible for variable compensation including bonus.
