ACCOUNTING MANAGER

ODK Media, Inc. is a media group headquartered in Fullerton, CA, United States that provides access to premium international content through its owned and operated streaming platforms, including OnDemandKorea, OnDemandChina, and OnDemandViet. It also distributes content to global streaming services, cable operators, and movie theaters, serving as the Asian media hub for AAPI communities across the country.

We are currently looking for an Accounting Manager to join our growing team, who will be responsible for managing the accounting and tax affair tasks for the company.  They will also prepare, examine, or analyze accounting records, financial statements, or other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards.  The ideal candidate is passionate about redefining content through innovation, unconventional thinking, and embracing fun!

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Own and Manage the Monthly Accounting close process for all entities
• Prepare Monthly Financial Statements and Account Recs
• Own and manage high level key GL accounts
• Provide guidance and mentoring to AR and AP Staff Accountants
• Manage and Prepare Monthly Budgeting and Forecasting
• Prepare Monthly Close Package of Management Metrics
• Review and approve daily AP and credit card transactions
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment and perform under tight schedules
• Oversee day to day accounting functions such as cash management and AP and AR
• Manage team in monthly general ledger closing and reconciliations
• Analyze financial data to assist in the preparation of annual budgets and quarterly forecasts
• Maintain records of assets, liabilities, profit and loss, tax liability, or other financial activities within an organization.
• Play a key role in working with external auditors.
• Develop, maintain, and analyze budgets, preparing periodic reports that compare budgeted costs to actual costs.
• Other duties as necessary under the direction of the CFO

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

• Knowledge of US GAAP is required.
• Working with Korean or International Entities preferred
• Bachelor’s Degree Required.
• 7+ years of accounting and finance experience.
• Advance knowledge and skills of Excel and QuickBooks.
• Korean proficiency preferred.

The reasonable estimated salary for this role at ODK Media, Inc. ranges from $100,000 to $120,000 plus a competitive package that may include variable compensation. Actual compensation is based upon factors such as the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience.
