What you'll do:

The Accounting Manager will provide the Director of Accounting with financial information by researching and analyzing accounts. The successful candidate will supervise and provide direction, training and guidance to the accounting staff. What this role will do:

• Drive strategic innovation and digital transformation
• Develop new processes and advance ongoing process improvement
• Engage within the organization to promote enterprise-wide digital solutions
• Adopt new digital tools to manage and analyze data more efficiently
• Reviews and prepares consolidated internal and external financial statements by gathering and analyzing information from the general ledger system and from departments
• Review and approve general ledger entries by maintaining records and files
• Develops and implements accounting procedures by analyzing current procedures
• Answers accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data
• Work with CPA firm personnel during year-end audit
• Responsible for the month-end close process and related financial analysis
• Effectively communicate with other departments regarding accounting related matters
• Obtain and maintain a thorough understanding of the financial reporting and general ledger structure
• Analyze the income statement accounts
• Review and approve balance sheet account reconciliations
• Work with each direct report to establish goals and objectives for each year and monitor and advise on the progress
• Perform additional assignments as directed by the Director of Accounting

The qualifications you must have:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance
• 7+ years prior supervisory experience in financial reporting/general ledger area
• SOX reporting in a public company

Our preferred qualifications:

• CPA preferred
• Master's degree or MBA
• Previous public accounting or manufacturing industry experience is preferred
• Previous data and systems analysis experience helpful, but not required
• Advanced MS Excel proficiency
• SAP accounting software experience
• BlackLine Systems experience
• ASC 606 Revenue Recognition experience
• Ability to work well with others under deadline situations and respond to changes in priorities.
• Ability to work independently, take initiative, set priorities and see projects through to completion.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
