Accounting Manager

We are looking for a n Accounting Manager to join our team and support our organization's day-to-day finance and accounting functions. As a key member of the team, you will help with the reconciliation of all financial activity across the firm, including trading and crypto transactions, organizational spending, and flow of funds. You will have a critical role in ensuring that our data is correct, and our numbers tie out . Our ideal candidate is highly motivated, curious, takes initiative, is energized by new challenge s and is interested in data analytics and finance.
Job Responsibilities:

• Assist with accounting, financial statements, and reporting for various investment funds, such as venture capital funds and hedge-fund sty le trading funds.
• Review internal financial statements and fund statements to ensure accuracy and completeness
• Log trading activity and crypto transactions, reconciling between front and back office
• Perform financial modelling and performance projections across various funds and business lines
• Produce monthly reports and analysis on our trading and investing activity
• Provide data insights necessary for company-wide financial decision making
• Manage relationships and communication with third parties including banks, accountants, administrators, and auditors
• Oversee all accounts payable and process invoi ces in timely and organized fashion
• Over see all accounts receivable, and work with internal counterparts to process internal tr ue-ups, and with Investor Relations on timely fee invoicing
• Make recommendations for tax optimization, and assist with the tax filing process for corporate entities and investment funds

Required:

• 3+ years of experience in a Finance or Accounting role at a n investment bank, fund, accountancy firm or similar
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
• Outstanding presentation, reporting and communication skills
• Excellent understanding of industry trends and best practices
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Ability to execute under pressure and within tight timelines while juggling multiple projects
• Strong people skills, with a focus on collaboration and ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Local to the NY area

Preferred:

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and DocuSign
• Demonstrated interest, activity, and engagement with the crypto ecosystem
• Experience using statistical and database software

Compensation: The expected base salary for this New York based position ranges from $90k-$130k. The actual base salary will be determined on an individual basis taking into account a number of factors including, but not limited to, experience, education, relevant certifications, skills, and geographic location.
