This is an exciting role in a technology company that recently went public in Q4 2021. This role will be within a finance team led by the Assistant Controller with quarterly involvement with the SEC reporting team on preparation of SEC filings. This position will be based in New York. What You Will Do:- General ledger maintenance, month-end journal entries and reconciliations
- Financial statement preparation and reviewÂ
- Review monthly accounting close process including analytical review of the monthly operating results to ensure accurate accounting records are maintained
- Compile and review departmental operating expense fluctuations on a monthly basis, providing explanations for variances
- Review operating expense accounts for accuracy and provide proactive analysis to identify issues
- Review balance sheet account reconciliationsÂ
- Support 10-Q and 10-K audit engagements with supporting documentation
- Develop optimal procedures and best practices. Identify process and control improvement opportunities and work with management and peers to implement appropriate changes
- Ensure data integrity resulting in a single source of truth for all financial information provided by our organization both internally and externallyÂ
- Maintain a solid understanding of accounting policies and stay current on changes in GAAP
- Support SEC function in preparation of 10-Q and 10-K
- Be involved in SOX implementation
- Â Â Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business
- Â Â Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent is required
- Â Â Excellent Excel skills is a must
- Â Â Audit experience is preferred
- Â Â Over 4 years of relevant work experience

The base pay range for this position is $120,000 - $150,000 per year. The determination of what a specific employee in this job classification is paid depends on a number of factors, including, but not limited to, prior employment history/job-related knowledge, qualifications and skills, length of service, and geographic location.This position is eligible for quarterly bonuses based on specified benchmarks, in accordance with all applicable bonus terms and conditionsThis information is provided per New York City’s salary disclosure law.  #LI-DB1#LI-hybrid
