Accounting Manager

This newly created role within HFI is focused on finding an experienced and dynamic Accounting Manager with deep ERP expertise. The selected candidate will play a key role in leading the design, implementation, and operation of our new ERP system, working cross-functionally with various departments. Initially, this individual will serve as both the Accounting Leader and the ERP "Super User," collaborating closely with IT and Supply Chain to ensure the system is configured to meet our business needs and support seamless financial operations.

Once the ERP system is fully implemented, the role will transition into a traditional Accounting Manager position, where the focus will shift to overseeing day-to-day accounting operations. This position is ideal for a hands-on professional who thrives in a dynamic environment and is passionate about leveraging technology to optimize financial processes.

Key Deliverables for the Role:

• Lead the design, implementation, and configuration of the ERP system, ensuring it aligns with HFI’s business requirements.
• Work closely with the ERP vendor, IT, and other functional leads to deliver the project on time and within scope.
• Implement user and posting controls, perform data testing and validation, and oversee the launch of the new system.
• Manage the cut-over from the current financial system to the new ERP system.
• Serve as the ERP system "Super User" for the accounting team, providing training and ongoing support to ensure effective use across the department.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and assist in developing tailored solutions within the ERP system.
• Design and implement custom reports, dashboards, and financial workflows to streamline processes and improve efficiency.

Financial Accounting and Process Optimization:

• Analyze existing financial accounting processes, focusing on high-volume accounts receivable invoicing and accounts payable, to identify opportunities for improvement, automation, and standardization.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to implement changes that optimize financial workflows and controls.
• Proactively identify and resolve potential issues or bottlenecks within financial systems and processes.

Experience and Professional Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in accounting and working with ERP systems; experience with ERP system implementation is a plus.
• CPA preferred.
• Strong understanding of US GAAP principles and financial processes, with previous experience in accounts payable or accounts receivable roles.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and identify actionable insights.
• Proven track record of successfully managing projects and driving process improvements.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and compliance.
• Ability to work under pressure and address escalations as they occur, making appropriate decisions in a dynamic environment.
