Accounting Manager

We currently have a great opportunity for an Accounting Manager. The successful candidate will be highly accountable, detail-oriented, self-motivated, comfortable making decisions, proactive, and strong knowledge of accounting in accordance with US GAAP.

About the role:

• Researching and interpreting technical accounting guidance, documenting conclusions in an organized logical manner, and discussing conclusions with management 
• Owning and implementing upcoming accounting standards (e.g. CECL) 
• Reviewing leasing agreements and accounting for leases in accordance with ASC 842 
• Accounting for international domiciled entities, ensuring correct accounting for consolidated reporting, including monthly reporting and analysis of the balance sheet, income statement, cash flow and statement of equity
• Operational support in setting up new legal entities and bank accounts and dissolving entities and closing bank accounts 
• Owning review of expenses including payroll, rent, G&A, and travel
• Maintaining and owning expense allocations for financial reporting purposes 
• Implementing and owning an expense accrual process 
• Support in implementing new systems supporting expense management 
• Assistance in the interim and year-end audit including owning all aspects related to leasing, expenses, and accruals
• Documenting internal processes, procedures, and control related items

About you:

• Experience with consolidation & VIEs, financial reporting, fair value of investments, leasing (ASC 842)
• Strong background in GAAP accounting 
• Strong initiative and ability to manage multiple projects timely & accurately
• Excellent Communication skills - written and verbal
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills; familiarity with Google Sheets
• Detail oriented with strong organizational and analytical skills
• Ability to work well with others in fast-paced, dynamic environment
• Ability to work independently and as a team member with excellent interpersonal skills
• Time management skills

Your qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field or prior experience with accounting 
• Minimum of 6 years of experience
• Master's degree in Accounting strongly preferred
• CPA strongly preferred
• Public accounting experience strongly preferred

Compensation range: $100k - $110k with 10% bonus
