WHAT YOU’LL DO
As Thyme Care’s Accounting Manager, you will be our second accounting hire. You will be responsible for assisting the Controller in leading all accounting functions with a focus on creating processes and systems that are scalable to keep pace with our growth. You will have the opportunity to be an early leader who oversees all accounting operations, AP, AR, and expense systems.Â
- Assist the Controller with the month end/quarter end/annual close process and partner closely with the strategic finance team to ensure the timely preparation of the financial statements.Â
- Help with analyzing and strengthening internal controls, developing accounting policies, and helping automate operations to ensure an efficient and effective close process.Â
- Partner with the Controller to assist with the annual financial statement audit and multiple tax returns.Â
- Familiarize yourself with Thyme Care’s existing monthly close process, legal entity structure, balance sheet reconciliations, software systems, department structure, and reporting hierarchies.
- Help design and implement new A/R and A/P processes and policies that are built for scale.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements, enhanced/developed reporting tools, and considered supporting systems that could help scale accounting functions.
WHAT YOU’VE DONE
- 3+ years of experience as a CPA with a mixture of public/industry accounting and ideally with startup (Healthcare preferred).Â
- Experience with designing new accounting processes, professionalizing the department, and building out policies and procedures from scratch.
- You’ve help build an accounting function in a high-growth multi-legal entity environment.
- Help direct and coordinate accounting policies, and procedures, and maintain appropriate internal control safeguards to ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements with an eye on adhering to GAAP standards.
- Partnered with outsourced accountants and began assuming ownership of accounting and record-keeping operations to prepare monthly financial statements and ensure accurate and timely monthly close package reporting.
- Review and professionalize accounting policies to ensure reconciliations are in accordance with GAAP.
- Worked cross-functionally with strategic finance to ensure efficient and effective preparation of financial statements and executive packages.

Our salary ranges are based on paying competitively for our size and industry, and are one part of the total compensation package that also includes equity, benefits, and other opportunities at Thyme Care. Individual pay decisions are based on a number of factors, including qualifications for the role, experience level, skillset, geography, and balancing internal equity relative to other Thyme Care employees. In accordance with New York City law, the base salary for this role if filled within New York City is $100,000-$130,000. The salary range could be lower or higher than this if the role is hired in another location or at another level. We also believe that your personal needs and preferences should be taken into consideration so we allow some choice between equity and cash.
