Job Title: Accounting Manager

Department: Tax and Accounting

Successful candidates should have the following:

• 4-6+ years of experience in accounting, with prior experience in a supervisory role.
• A Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or any other related business field is preferred.
• Proficient in using MS Excel and QuickBooks. Additional knowledge of Xero will be an advantage.
• Excellent research, writing, verbal, and written communication skills are mandatory.
• Ability to manage and work on multiple clients simultaneously.
• A CPA certification is preferred.

A typical day in this job would involve carrying out the following tasks:

• Prepare or review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Provide essential accounting services for high-net-worth clients, closely held businesses, trusts, family foundations, small businesses, etc.
• Work with 3rd party to remit payroll tax reports promptly and efficiently.
• Simultaneously manage various tasks for multiple clients, including bill payments and resolution of any discrepancies that may arise.
• Prepare or review 1099 forms, business statement of information filings, city business tax filings, etc., as needed.
• Onboard new clients, set up financial reporting procedures and chart of accounts, and ensure that the general ledger is accurate and up to date.
• Supervise and mentor associate and senior team members, ensuring they perform month-end close and financial tie-outs to the highest quality standards.
• Meet with clients regularly to review financial reports and assist with tax planning as needed.
• Meet with potential new clients and review their information to provide fee estimates and proposals for accounting work.
• Actively participate and work with team members to better the team's processes and procedures.
