Accounting Manager

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounting Manager to join our team. This hybrid role will be based out of our Minneapolis, MN office. The Accounting Manager will oversee the day-to-day operations of the accounting department, ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with regulations, and efficient accounting processes. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a solid understanding of accounting principles, and experience in financial management.

Here is what we need our Accounting Manager to do:

• Manage and supervise a global accounting team for all general ledger functions.
• Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes, including preparation of financial statements, reconciliation of Balance Sheet accounts and supplemental schedules to Income Statement accounts.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and other relevant accounting standards.
• Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to improve efficiency and accuracy.
• Coordinate with external auditors and tax advisors for annual audits and tax filings.
• Oversee the accumulation of information needed by Finance to monitor cash flow, prepare cash forecasts.
• Review and analyze financial data to identify trends and opportunities for cost savings or revenue growth.
• Provide financial analysis and insights to support strategic decision-making.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate and timely reporting of financial information.
• Stay updated on accounting regulations and industry best practices.

What education and skills does our Accounting Manager need?

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance; CPA certification preferred.
• Seven+ years of accounting experience in a supervisory role
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
• Knowledge of revenue recognition principles and ASC 606
• Experience with accounting software and ERP systems; proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
• Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.
