Accounting Manager

The Team

Our Finance team is looking for a dynamic individual to help develop and execute our accounting policies and process so that we can meet our financial growth goals. This individual will work closely with our Head of Finance, Finance Manager and team leads to ensure that our books are kept up to date and accurate for quick decision making and reporting. The Accounting Manager must be extremely detail oriented, efficient and have a deep understanding of GAAP. This role will be ever changing and will require the candidate to be flexible and open-minded.

What You’ll Do

• Developing, managing, and enforcing GAAP-compliant procedures
• Performing and managing the monthly and quarterly close processes
• Managing accounts receivables and accounts payables invoice processing
• Managing and auditing payroll for accuracy
• Ensuring a smooth audit process by creating and maintaining internal controls, establishing, and maintaining immaculate record keeping and managing the audit process
• Anticipating and evaluating business needs to make sure that financial organization and systems appropriately support the company’s growth
• As the team grows - managing internal and external teams and vendors by setting expectations, training internal staff accountants and developing training modules and templates
• Managing outside vendors, including audit prep and tax preparation

What We’re Looking For

• 3-10 years of related experience in Accounting related function in an evolving and high growth environment
• Big 4 experience and CPA or CPA candidate preferred
• Strong knowledge of corporate finance and other accounting theory, principles and practices to include GAAP, SaaS accounting, prepaid expenses & accrued revenue, ASC 606: Revenue Recognition, ASC 340-40: Capitalized Contract Costs, and ASC 718: Stock-Based Compensation
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with all levels of the organization
• Ability to prioritize, work independently and maintain flexibility in a fast-paced, changing environment
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy, organizational and time management skills
• Ability to maintain discretion when dealing with highly sensitive and confidential matters

The estimated annual salary for this role is between $100,000 - $175,000, plus a competitive equity package. Actual compensation is determined based upon a variety of job related factors that may include: transferable work experience, skill sets, and qualifications. Total compensation also includes a comprehensive benefit package, including: medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, unlimited paid time off, generous parental leave plan, and others for mental and wellness support.
