Requirements

A DAY IN THE LIFE:

  • Play a key role in the daily financial operations of the business
  • Facilitate timely monthly close of the general ledger
  • Assist in the preparation of semi-annual financial statements
  • Develop and implement new processes and procedures in response to evolving business needs, in collaboration with colleagues from across the company
  • Research and apply accounting standards for loans, debt and equity securities, joint ventures, and other complex transactions
  • Assist with annual audit and tax compliance
  • Maintain and improve system of internal controls
  • Formalize and document accounting policies and procedures
  • Contribute to a collaborative and enjoyable work environment

YOUR EXPERIENCE + A FEW NICE TO HAVES:

  • Active CPA license
  • Minimum 2 years of public accounting experience, preferably in audit or financial services (required; 3+ years preferred)
  • Minimum 2 years of tax compliance
  • Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP
  • Skilled with spreadsheets and data analysis
  • Some relevant industry experience (financial services, technology, startup) a plus, but not required
