Accounting Manager

To help us achieve our ambitious mission, we are now searching for an Accounting Manager to join our team in Rolle.
The Accounting Manager supervises, monitors and evaluates all day-to-day accounting activities. In addition, they establish financial status by developing and implementing processes and procedures for collecting, analyzing, verifying and reporting financial information. They are also responsible for managing the accounting team, helping audit and ledger preparation, and supporting managers across teams with financial procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the overall accounting for General Ledger, Payroll, Treasury, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Fixed Assets
- Manage the monthly financial close process, including ensuring all costs incurred are properly recorded, reviewing journal entries, account balance reconciliations and report preparation
- Ensure accurate and timely year end closing under IFRS and local GAAP
- Review cash entries, batch payments and perform bank reconciliation
- Assist in the preparation of the monthly management report (explain the month-to-month variances)
- Coordinate and manage finance input on corporate and cross functional project implementations
- Provide support to Controller, CFO, and other in finance as needed: information requests and analysis, profit and loss
- Collaborate with external accountants and auditors to ensure successful audit results and compliance
- Assist with compilation of information for preparation of tax returns, VAT and other regulatory reporting
- Ensure appropriate internal controls framework
- Ensure all Invoices and expense reports comply with company guidelines and procedures
- Participate in the ongoing development/establishment of accounting policies and procedures including the review and implementation of process and system changes.
- Provide oversight and direction to employees in accordance with the organization's policies and procedures
- Train, coach, mentor and develop employees, review their work on a regular basis.
- Give regular feedback, conduct quarterly and year-end reviews, and set objectives
- Ensure employees have the necessary resources to perform properly
- Conduct regular 1:1 meeting with team members.
- Establish and monitor employee goals and objectives
- Create a workspace that encourages creativity and innovation to get the most out of the team
- Quickly and effectively resolve team conflicts
- Perform team capacity planning and ensure adequate staffing of projects and high-quality service delivery through recruiting, onboarding, and training of new and existing team members.
Requirements
- Advanced degree in accounting or financeor related field
- More than 5 years' experience in accounting for a US Public Company
- Must have a strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles(GAAP)
- Experience with ERP systems, knowledge of Dynamics 365 is a plus, proficient in Excel
- Mastery of the Microsoft 360 Suite
- Self-starter and deadline driven person, with high degree of independency
- Critical thinker with ability to articulate issues as they arise and suggest possible solutions
- Must be fluent in English
