Accounting Manager

Your Title: Accounting Manager

Job Location: Sunrise, FL

Our Department: Trimble PPM

This person will be a key member for the accounting function within the organization. This individual enjoys working in a growing, fast paced environment, and must be highly motivated and have the ability to balance multiple projects and tasks. The Accounting Manager will assist with the month end close process and be responsible for the timely close of the general ledger.

What You Will Do

• Review accounts receivable and invoicing during the month
• Assist with state sales tax compliance
• Review and coordinate travel expense posting and invoicing
• Reviewing and reconciling all aspects of the general ledger including allocations and accruals
• Assist with review of subscription revenue and services revenue and the corresponding deferred revenue schedules
• Analyzing current and past financial data and performance
• Assist with the drafting and preparation of audited financial statements, footnotes and supplemental information, as well as any other tax or financial audit conducted by lenders or compliance authorities
• Assist with preparation of financial reports for the Executive team and monthly financial package
• Review work performed by staff and provide on the job training to help improve their work product
• Manage, document and monitor internal controls related to the financial reporting function
• Other projects supporting the financial closing process will be assigned

What Skills & Experience You Should Bring

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting. Master's degree preferred.
• Intermediate level knowledge of accounting functions and internal controls
• Prior experience with US GAAP and willingness to research and resolve accounting questions
• Strong analytical skills
• Ability to coach & teach team members to help them grow professionally
• Auditing skills, with the ability to research and reconcile difficult accounts
• Excellent written, verbal, communication, and interpersonal skills with a customer service focus
• Ability to communicate effectively with other departments
• Strong mastery of Excel including proficiency with vlook-ups, pivot tables and filters is a must
• Detail oriented and organized in work
• Ability to meet assigned deadlines
• Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of employees
• Knowledge of ERP system NetSuite/Oracle; and Salesforce is a plus
