Accounting Manager (Construction)
Job Description
Signature Projects is a Phoenix-based commercial general contractor specializing in a variety of sectors including retail build-outs, restaurants, tenant improvements, hospitality, and ground-up commercial developments. Weβre looking for an experienced and detail-orientedAccounting Managerto join our dynamic team and support our continued growth.
The Accounting Manager is a full-time, high level accounting support position, functioning between the President and CFO, preparing quarterly GAAP financial reports, and providing internal control oversight. Construction accounting experience required.
Key Functions
β’ Help support operations with job cost control.
β’ Manage Job Costing Reports on ongoing basis.
β’ Track percentage of completion.
β’ Prepare for and coordinate quarterly compilation reports and annual financial reviews.
β’ Act as a liaison to the external CPA firm providing the compilations, review, and tax preparation engagements.
β’ Assist with account reconciliations for all balance sheet accounts.
β’ Prepare quarterly accruals for percentage-of-completion GAAP entries.
β’ Partner with the management team to improve overall company performance, contribute to business strategy and planning
β’ Provide financial insight into operational initiatives and accounting and tax implications.
β’ Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable
β’ Manage Cost Completion and Percentage Completion reports.
β’ Oversee payroll & overhead budgets and control accordingly.
β’ Track receivable aging and pursue payments.
Qualifications
β’ Must have Bachelorsβ Degree in Accounting or Finance.
β’ CPA or CPA candidate preferred.
β’ 7+ years of previous accounting or audit experience.
β’ 2+ years of industry-specific experience with construction accounting.
β’ Maintenance, Repair, Replacement and Alteration (MRRA) accounting experience preferred.
β’ Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects in a fast-paced environment.
β’ Proficient in Project management software (ProCore), Microsoft Excel and QuickBooks.
β’ Ability to run a WIP
β’ Must have experience in construction accounting
This is a full-time, in-office position located in midtown Phoenix. Hours areMonday through Thursday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and Friday from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM.Flexibility may be offered to qualified candidates depending on the circumstances of the request.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $85,000.00 - $105,000.00 per year
