Accounting Manager

NOW CFOis seeking a highly skilledAccounting Manager (Part-Time)to join our consulting team in the Bay Area. As an accounting manager/consultant, the day-to-day responsibilities will vary significantly depending on a company’s size and needs. This role requires a strong operational focus and hands-on experience in accounting. Compensation:$100,000 – $130,000 annualized salary, depending on experience and hours worked. Schedule:This position will start at approximately 20 hours per week with the opportunity to grow into a full-time role as client needs increase. Depending on the client's needs and preferences, this role offers a hybrid work schedule.Responsibilities: • Manage all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL and Counsel, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting, and Revenue Recognition. • Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies, and principles. • Support month-end and year-end close process. • Standardize and maintain a system of accounting records and techniques. • Conduct internal audits to assess financial status. • Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations. • Serve as primary contact for external auditors.Qualifications: • Accounting or Finance degree (BS/BA/MBA). • Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures. • Strong leadership qualities. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. • Deadline and detail-oriented. • Public accounting background (Preferred but not required).
