Accounting Senior Manager

Zenoti is seeking an experienced accounting professional to join its growing Finance team. This newly created position will report to the VP Finance and Controller at Zenoti’s global headquarters in Bellevue, WA.  The Accounting  Senior Manager will be responsible for driving improvements and efficiencies in the month-end financial close process for Zenoti’s consolidated global operations, reporting budget to actual and assisting with business iniatives..  In this role, tasks will include preparing and reviewing journal entries, producing timely and accurate financial reports, researching variances, performing account analysis, maintaining accounting system data, and communicating with customers, vendors and other internal teams.

Responsibilities:

• Manage Monthly checklist and assist in coordinating preparer and reviewer sign offs
• Train team members on best practice reconciliations
• Lead key workstreams in the month-end close process to prepare timely, accurate financial data in compliance with US GAAP and company accounting policies
• Review reconciliations and coach team members on best practices on workpaper preparation
• Coach team members to provide the appropriate information to Rreconcile accounts, analyze and summarize activity, and resolve reconciling differences appropriately
• Complete reconciliations for key areas including revenue and accruals
• Perform accounting and control procedures related to accruals and other areas
• Prepare monthly financial statements, detailed supporting schedules, and relevant variance analyses
• Engage with external auditors to provide requested audit documentation
• Collaborate with different functional teams to continue to develop accounting processes and actively contribute to a disciplined financial statement close
• Provide support to Zenoti’s India-based billing, collections, and accounts payable teams as necessary
• Analyze and recommend improvements to major systems, processes, or policies
• Perform ad-hoc accounting projects as directed

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor's Degree and CPA (or commensurate public accounting experience) required
• Strong technical and practical understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) in the United States
• SaaS or related technology industry experience preferred
• Minimum 8 years of accounting experience, 2 of which ideally having been with a nationally recognized public accounting firm
• Demonstrated success operating in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
• Experience working with NetSuite, Zuora, and Salesforce preferred
• Experience with internal controls and SOX compliance preferred
• Direct people management experience preferred
• Highly proficient manipulating and analyzing large quantities of data using Microsoft Excel
