Accounting Specialist

Summary

Assist the Accounting Manager with administrative tasks and oversight of accounting functions at plant level.

What you'll do

• Processes daily accounting activities by entering transactions.
• Maintains data accuracy through reviews and various audits.
• Updates Business System with new account information or makes changes to current account information as necessary.
• Maintains vendor files for processing accounts payable.
• Researches extraneous postings and reconciles to specific department or intercompany locations
• Assists in preparing reports used by management for financial reporting purposes.

What you'll need

• Minimum of Associate's degree in Accounting OR a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• 2+ years in positions related specifically to accounting.
• Strong Excel aptitude & strong business system experience.
• Demonstrated prior success in achieving results using team driven philosophies.
• Acute attention to detail.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to understand and follow written instructions.
• Computer Skills: ERP Systems, Spreadsheet and Word Processing Software
