The role...

The Accounting Specialist reports into the Accounting Manager and will be a crucial part of the finance team, responsible for a broad range of accounting related functions. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, analytical, customer service minded, motivated and able to work in a fast-paced environment. This exciting role will be diverse, allowing the selected candidate to play a crucial role in developing and improving our practices across all accounting functions. 

Responsibilities...

• Daily AP operations, including but not limited to, vouchering, monitoring billing portals, uploading to invoice portals, inbox inquiries, weekly payment process, wire payments.
• Support the monthly accounting close by recording journal entries and accruals related to AP, AR, payroll, etc.  Run month-end allocations and prepare supporting schedules as required.
• GL account reconciliations and preparation of financials.
• Backup for AR, including cash applications, collections, sales tax filings.
• Provide outside auditors with assistance; gather necessary information and documents to perform annual audit.
• Provide general support for the Finance Department and undertake other tasks/projects as needed.

Who you are and what you bring to the team...

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business.
• 5+ years of experience working in an Accounting Department. 
• 2-3+ years of full cycle AP experience.
• Strong oral and written communication skills and attention to detail.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other products. (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint)
• Strong analytical skills, critical thinking mindset, ability to troubleshoot.
• Proficient with spreadsheets. (VLOOKUP’s, Pivot tables)
• Oracle or SAP experience preferred.
