Accounting Specialist

About the Role

As an Accounting Specialist, you will play a critical role in managing and carrying out key financial processes that require a high level of accuracy. Your primary responsibilities will be centered around financial data management and analysis, reconciliations, and other accounting tasks that require meticulous attention to detail.

Target hourly wage is $40-50 with approximately 12-14 hours of work / week.

Responsibilities

• Analyze financial data and prepare accurate reports
• Perform reconciliations of financial transactions
• Ensure financial data accuracy through careful review and validation of data
• Conduct process analysis and suggest improvements as needed
• Assist in the development of financial models and forecasts
• Maintain high levels of confidentiality and data security standards

Requirements

• Extremely communicative and reliable
• Capable of working up to 15 hours per week
• Proven experience in accounting or similar role
• Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
• Expert with Excel and/or Google Sheets
• A self-starter who can effectively manage time when working remotely
• Ability to maintain high levels of data confidentiality and security
• BA degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field, or degree in-progress

Nice to Have

• Experience with Stripe's billing tools
• Previous experience as a 1099 contractor
• Experience working in early-stage, high growth company environments
