Responsibilities

Baker Tilly is looking for a Accounting Specialist to join our Real Estate Advisory Services Group!

  • Compile loan data and create loan servicing packages for lenders and borrowers. This will include creating and sending invoices to clients, tracking payments from businesses, and working with clients, lenders, and businesses to determine method of payment.
  • Prepare quarterly accounting entries and work papers for each Sub-CDE within your portfolio
  • Prepare our clients' portfolios for annual audits and tax returns
  • Prepare quarterly summarized portfolios of our clients transactions
  • Request, review, and track compliance documents for each transaction within your portfolio
  • Prepare compliance documentation for our clients and investors on a regular basis
  • Complete other various tasks and/or projects as requested

Qualifications

  • High school diploma. Associate's degree in accounting or related field of study, strongly preferred.
  • Two (2)+ years of experience in accounting, bookkeeping or related field, required
  • Knowledge of accounting and bookkeeping principles related to classifying, recording, and summarizing data and making computations to compile and keep financial records
  • High attention to detail and ability follow directions and procedures, as well as provide up-to-date records on status of all clients at all times
  • Ability to meet our client service expectations by providing excellent communication internally and externally
  • Proven track record of successful project management and team communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to multitask, prioritize work flow, and coordinate activities as needed
  • Computer skills and knowledge including typing and Microsoft Office Suite, required. QuickBooks proficiency, highly preferred.
  • Eligibility to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
  • This position can be remote but will need to travel into the Madison, WI office for training.

Additional Information

For New York City and the state of Colorado only, the compensation range for this role is $20.25 to $38.50/hr. Actual compensation is influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to skills, experience, qualifications, and geographic location.
