Job Summary:

We are seeking a self-motivated Accounting Specialist to assist with many different facets within the Accounting group. This position will handle applying cash, collecting outstanding AR balances, handle Order Processing and assisting with AP. A successful candidate will be able to work in a fast-paced environment where change is a constant.

Job Description:

Job Responsibilities:

· Conduct daily contact with customers to obtain past due collections and outstanding balances

· Process any reconciliations as needed

· Provide weekly/monthly reporting by updating excel spreadsheets by adding new data, updating pivots, reviewing for accuracy, and updating formulas as needed

· Reconcile, post and apply a high volume of payments received via lockbox/ACH

· Work with team to ensure intercompany payments are accounted for and balanced

· Handle all steps of the Quote/Order Conversion to ensure the quote is billed and the contract is signed and returned to customer in a timely manner

· Review Expense Reports and match receipts to submitted expenses

· Support additional accounting ad-hoc duties as needed

· Apply genuine customer service to internal and external clients

Job Qualifications:

· 2-4+ years of experience within Accounting

· Strong background in Accounting, Cash Application, collections, and financial concepts

· Strong analytical and problem solving skills

· Intermediate level skills in Microsoft Excel

· Must be able to work in a fast-pace environment while handling multiple tasks, work independently, and meet firm deadlines in a timely manner

· Effective organizational skills and the ability to be detail-orientated are key components to success as it requires working with large amounts of data

· Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills to be able to interact with clients and individuals with varying levels of financial expertise

· Customer Service (internal and external) skills is essential

· Experience with MS Great Plains is a plus
