We grow the world's BEST Strawberries and that wouldn't be possible without our Finance Team!
As part of our Finance Team, our Accounting Specialist will support data entry for accounts payable (AP), time and expense management (T&E), communicating with department leaders cross-functionally, and handling various administrative accounting tasks.
What you'll be responsible for:

• AP Data Entry & Procurement
  
  • Monitor AP email
  • Create new vendor profiles and gather necessary information to process payment
  • Categorize invoices accurately on bill.com
  • Review and respond to inquiries
  • Communicate internally with team members to support team
  • Communicate externally with vendors to foster good relationships and work in unison
  • Assistance upon misc request (Credit applications, provide sales tax exemption forms, clear vendor balances, clear accounts)
  • Monitor the company phone number and handle urgent matters and payments
  • Prepare wires & gather support (banking details & 1099)
  • Assist with construction procurement and update Procore
  • Communicate closely with the construction team to ensure timely payments to hit project targets
• T&E Management Platform
  
  • Support reconciliation of T&E expenses
  • Download review & analyze monthly reports for accuracy and compliance
  • Assist with onboarding and ongoing support

What We Look for in an Accounting Specialist:

• Currently pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field
• Must be able to work at our Jersey City, HQ location, onsite Monday - Friday for 4 hours a day
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., bill.com, QuickBooks) is a plus.
• Attention to detail and ability to multitask effectively.
