Accounting Specialist - Royalties

Acxiom is seeking a Royalties Accounting Specialist to assist with calculation of data royalty payments owed to contributors, recording of journal entries, ad hoc reporting and projects as needed. We are looking for a team player who is open to coaching and engaged in learning the existing processes, however, once established will be able to suggest and assist in processes improvements.

What You Will Do:

• Audit and validate data and research to resolve problems with data
• Review customer invoices for royalties due
• Read, understand, and communicate contractual obligations related to timely payments and reporting to data contributors
• Utilize and ensure data is recorded correctly in data / financial systems (i.e., Workday)
• Ensure compliance of controls and policies
• Work closely with team members to meet deadlines
• Maintain process documentation
• Provide continuous improvement to standardize and streamline processes

What You Will Have:

• High School diploma with at least two years of office work experience
• Functional knowledge of accounting
• Minimum 2 years working with Excel
• Excellent written/verbal communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet required timetables
• Ability to accept change and work to achieve goals
• Ability to learn and adapt to new software
• Demonstrate a good understanding of assigned job area
• Ability to understand the big picture view of Acxiom and adjust work accordingly
• Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Self-motivated
• Curiosity and willingness to learn

• Bachelor's degree without experience; or equivalent work experience
• Basic understanding of accounting principles

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel
