Accounting Spring/Summer 2023 Internship

Elire is currently in search of an Accounting intern to join our accounting and operations team this upcoming Spring and Summer. The individual in this role will assist in expense administration and time approval as well as other accounting tasks. Accurate time and expense reporting is critical to Elire. Role Overview:
• Position is based at Elire's Minneapolis office with a hybrid work model
• Intern will work independently as well as in a team setting
• Assist in all operations regarding corporate cards, time and travel expenses, and reimbursements
• Individual provides support to employees, consultants, and accounting department

Role Responsibilities:
• Provide stellar customer service to employees and consultants by answering their time, travel expenses, and reimbursements questions in a timely manner
• Approve and audit time and expense reports for 100+ employees and independent consultants
• Resolve issues directly with employees and/or their managers when there is non-compliant time or travel expense reimbursement submissions
• Develop brochures and content to effectively update and communicate policies to employees and consultants
• Reconcile company credit card statements
• Process corporate card applications and answer all employee questions about corporate card expenses
• Upload Diner's Club and AMEX charges into FFA
• Upload payable invoices into FFA

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel
• Strong communication skills
• Excellent organizational and coordination skills with attention to detail
• Strong analytical skills with problem solving abilities
• Proven sensitivity to cultural diversity in the business environment
• Experience with book keeping systems (preferred but not required)
• Associate degree in accounting, finance, or business administration (preferred but not required)
