Accounting Sr Analyst

What you do at Avant:

• Compile and analyze financial information to prepare entries to general ledger accounts
• Ensure financial statements are prepared in accordance with U.S. GAAP reporting requirements and company policies
• Assist in the preparation of financial statements and related footnote disclosures
• Routinely communicate with decision makers within the organization relating to financial close, issues and deliverables
• Create new and improve existing processes and procedures while making best use of automation tools
• Address tight deadlines with a multitude of accounting activities including general ledger preparation, financial reporting, and account reconciliations.
• Support the timely completion of the year-end financial statement audit

Why you are a fit for Avant:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance plus 2 years of relevant experience
• In lieu of 2 years of relevant experience, a Master of Accounting degree
• CPA or on the path to achieving CPA is a strong plus
• Start-up/FinTech/Banking experience preferred. Big 4 or other top-tier accounting firm experience is a strong plus.
• Tech savvy and strong Excel skills. Familiar with key functions (vlookup, sumifs, pivot table etc.). It's a plus if you've worked with NetSuite and FloQast.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to multitask, prioritize and effectively communicate with all staff levels
• Dependable, organized, motivated and trustworthy
