Job Description:
This is an exciting opportunity for an undergraduate or graduate student currently enrolled in an accounting degree program to join our SOX Compliance team in a part-time position!
We are looking to have this student worker start as soon as possible.
This position will work 24 hours per week and is part of a hybrid work schedule allowing for 2 days in the office per week and the rest remote.
What You'll Be Doing:
The Part-Time SOX Compliance Student will function in a role similar to a Staff Accountant by evaluating transactions and recording them to the general ledger as necessary to ensure the financials are accurate and complete.
The student will also function in a role similar to SEC/SOX Staff Analyst and will assist with the timely and accurate preparation of external quarterly financial reports to be files with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
Additionally, the student will be responsible for the day-to-day function of the Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance efforts, including coordination of resources, review of work, ensuring test results are properly documented, and any other issues are appropriately raised.
What We Are Looking For:

• Currently enrolled and pursuing an Accounting Degree.
• Available to work part-time (24 hours/week or more).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize based on opportunities and effectively multitask.
• Experience using Microsoft Office with intermediate Excel skills (VLOOKUP's & Pivot Tables).
• Detail oriented mindset.
• Familiarity with accounting principles.
• Ability to think critically.

Annual Hiring Range/Hourly Rate:
$18.00 - $22.00
Actual compensation offer to candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level. The pay ratio between base pay and target incentive (if applicable) will be finalized at offer.
