Accounting Supervisor

Job Summary: This position has financial responsibilities across all the Fire Fighter group of companies including:

5. Fire Fighter Sales and Service Co.
5. All Lines Technology Inc.
5. Fire Fighter Inc.
5. Vast Real Estate

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Ensure an accurate and timely Monthly, Quarterly and Year-End Closing
• Ensure the timely preparation of all periodic Financial Statements
• Oversee Inventory management, including costing, valuation, and year end physical and reconciliation
• Manage Vehicle/Fixed Asset activity and related GL postings
• Calculation and posting of select Monthly Journal Entries
• Maintenance and troubleshooting within GL and related CRM systems
• Ensure proper ongoing training of staff and proper allocation of workload
• Projects specific to financial accounting and reporting
• Assist with Customer billing issues and collections
• Process documentation – Coordinate creation and maintenance of accounting department manuals

 
Job Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years accounting or financial experience
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting and/or finance preferred
• Significant experience with General Ledger software
• Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central strongly preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Work Environment/Physical Requirements

• Professional business-casual office environment
• Monday-Friday 8:00 am – 4:30 pm (normally)
