Job Description Summary:

The Primarily responsible of this position is to monitor the Frontier system to meet daily SLAs and working with the FinOps team ensure the system runs efficiently through file processing optimization. Additionally, this position will utilize and support various accounting systems to ensure activity is posted accurately and timely to the PayPal general ledger. This position will work collaboratively with Product Development, Business Operations, Global Finance Operations, and Systems to determine root cause and resolution of issues.

Job Description:

SPECIFIC DUTIES

1. Ensure scheduled jobs related to the Frontier application are completed accurately and meet established service level agreements.

2. Research and resolve system related issues in accordance with established service level agreements.

3. Ensure daily reconciliation jobs and tasks are completed according to the assigned SLAs.

4. Research manual processes and through analysis recommend/implement automated solutions.

5. Maintain an up-to-date data dictionary and processing documentation.

6. Utilize database tools to extract information to meet end user reporting requirements.

7. Act as the on-site Frontier representative for projects related to system changes and new products/processes.

8. Work with Omaha Accounting managers to identify and prioritize open production issues.

9. Identify process flows to determine impacted functional groups to identify stakeholders for issue resolution.

10. Perform root cause analysis across multiple environments to determine the source of the issue.

11. Develop and maintain metrics to measure time to resolution and performance against agreed upon SLAs.

12. Other duties and special projects as assigned.

REQUIRED PERFORMANCE

1. Perform at a Meets or Exceeds expectations level for all specific duties outlined above.

2. Demonstrate a solid understanding of PayPal's business products, transactions, systems and related accounting process flows. Understand the accounting implications from the transaction level, to the reconciliation level and then up to the general ledger of various money movement accounts.

3. Demonstrate a high level of job discretion. JOB QUALIFICATIONS

A. Education

Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance, MIS, or a related field preferred.

Additional experience can be substituted for education.

B. Experience

1. 3+ years relevant work experience in operations or accounting within the payments industry

2. Experience working with research and/or reconciling software.

3. Experience in SQL and basic coding skills.

4. Experience working with cross -functional and international teams.

5. Experience working with complex, multi-system environments including data extraction and interfaces.

6. Experience working with issue/bug tracking tools.

7. Proficient in Microsoft Office products with emphasis in Excel

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

1. This position may require systems monitoring off hours and weekends

2. This position may require travel to San Jose less than 10% of time.
