Accounting Systems and Reporting Lead
Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Ensure the integrity of the systems' accounting functions and data affecting financial reporting.
- Work to understand and resolve system incidents, questions and challenges that impact financial reporting.
- Builds relationships to effectively partner with other departments in the development and implementation of system projects.
- Acts as an interface between technology teams, support teams, and the Accounting and Finance Department on systems projects and initiatives.
- Create opportunities to automate financial processes where possible.
- Participate in system projects, enhancements, and upgrades, ensuring that the accounting group's interests and concerns are properly addressed.
- Works with application developers on behalf of end users to ensure business requirements are understood and met.
Qualifications:
- BA/BS in Accounting or Finance, is required.
- 2 plus years of experience in Accounting or Finance
- MBA a plus
- Demonstrated high proficiency with Microsoft Office
- SAS certified a plus
- Experience with other data analytic tools preferred
- Strong accounting and data analytics background.
- Proven effective verbal & written communication/follow-up skills.
- Must be able to understand transactional and operational accounting.
- Possesses solid presentation skills and the ability to lead and manage meetings and working sessions comprised of stakeholders with competing interests.
- Attention to detail and self-starter.
