Castle Hill Gaming (CHG), with headquarters in Charlottesville, VA Tulsa, OK and, was launched in 2013 by a group of seasoned veterans of the online video and casino gaming industries. Many of our team members have worked together for over 15 years, utilizing decades of experience, insight, and knowledge to create the most entertaining Class II, Class III and Historical Horse Racing (HHR) gaming machines in the market, while providing customer-first sales and support to casinos across the United States.

Position Overview:

Castle Hill Gaming (CHG) is looking for the right person to expand our Accounting department. The primary responsibilities are account analysis and reconciliations, Accounts Payable and Payroll support, Accounts Receivable, as well as Fixed Assets. This person will be working closely  with our existing four person accounting department and others through out the company to assist with other accounting tasks as needed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

Account Analysis and Reconciliation

    • Able to analyze and reconcile complex multi transaction accounts.
    • Complete necessary journal enteries
    • Follow up and resolves issues
    • Maintain account analysis work papers for auditors
    • Gain understanding of Sage Intacct GL and subsystems needed to complete analysis

 Accounts Payable

    • Gain thorough understanding of Bill.com
    • Code invoices, check requests, and other items with correct codes conforming to standard procedures to ensure proper entry into the financial system
    • Investigate and resolve issues with invoice processing
    • Assist with monthly status reports and monthly closings
    • Receive, research, and resolve a variety of routine internal and external inquiries concerning account status, including communicating the resolution of discrepancies to appropriate people
    • File and maintain documents, records, and reports
    • Verify vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements and related transactions
    • Ensure W9s are received prior to payment being issued
    • Issue 1099s on annual basis
    • Report sales and use taxes

Accounts Receivable

    • Post customer payments
    • Verify validity of account discrepancies by obtaining and investigating information from sales and from customers
    • Resolve invalid or unauthorized deductions by following pending deductions procedures
    • Summarize receivables by maintaining invoice accounts and preparing reports

Payroll

    • Use ADP to review and submit bi-weekly payroll
    • Ensure that 401k withholding is deposited to employees on a timely basis
    • Provide reporting as needed

Performs other duties as required to support the Accounting Department.

Work Environment:

  • Full Time in Office Position
  • Flexible Hours as long as working during ‘Core Business Hours’
  • Brand new office building in Charlottesville, VA

Qualifications, Education, Training and Experience Required:             

Required:

    • BS degree in Accounting or Business Administration
    • 2-3 years general accounting experience
    • Strong organizational skills; must be detail-oriented
    • Team Player
    • Open to change and willing to learn new skills
    • Ability to meet deadlines
    • Strong Microsoft Outlook skills

Preferred:

    • Previous experience with Intacct, Sage, Bill.com, and/or Tallie a plus
    • Previous payroll experience
    • Enjoys challenges
