Accounting/AP Manager

• Oversee the accounts payable department and ensure timely and accurate processing of invoices, payments, and expense reports
• Leads the month-end closing process for the procure to pay cycle, including monthly accruals
• Adheres to GAAP accounting and tax laws and standards
• Coach and develop accounts payable and accounting staff
• Support and review account reconciliations and daily cash recordings
• Ensure compliance with company policies, as well as local, state, and federal regulations
• Develop and maintain accounts payable policies and procedures
• Ensure accurate and timely month-end and year-end close processes for procure to pay cycle accounts
• Assist with audits and provide documentation and support as needed

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• 5 years in an accounting department, with 2+ years of A/P or accounting management
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
• Experience developing employees and fostering cross functional relationships
• Experience with Netsuite and other accounting related systems
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Experience in process improvement and implementing best practices
• Knowledge of tax regulations and compliance requirements
• Ability to analyze financial data and provide insights and recommendations
• The ideal candidate will high intellectual and emotional intelligence, strong work ethic, attention to detail
• Ability to positively contribute to team, department, and corporate growth
• Ability to be self-directed, internally motivated, with strong problem-solving skills and curiosity about the industry and business
