Accounting/HR Manager
Job Description
As the Accounting/HR Manager, you should be a highly motivated professional with a sense of urgency, and proven track record and be able to process and reconcile a wide variety of HR documents. This role will focus on employment documentation, employee files, processing payroll and answering HR and payroll related questions.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Oversee, direct, and conduct day-to-day operations of all HR related functions (e.g., benefits, hiring/transfers, terminations, payroll, associate relations programs).
- Answer employee questions related to policies and procedures.
- Respond to questions and concerns regarding payroll in timely manner.
- Maintain and update payroll records.
- Collect and verify employee timesheets and enter hours for payroll ensuring 100% accuracy.
- Assist with daily operations of the accounting department.
- Support implementations, migration, or upgrades of financial systems.
- Provide HR & payroll support for multiple companies.
- Month and end-year process.
- General ledger involvement.
- Coordinate and assist with annual audits.
- Improve systems and procedures and initiate corrective actions.
- Meet financial accounting group objectives.
- Establish and maintain fiscal files and records to document transactions.
- Assist with any other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in Accounting/HR required.
- Good math skills and the ability to spot numerical errors.
- Knowledge of basic bookkeeping procedures.
- Ability to handle sensitive, confidential information.
- High attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to manipulate large amounts of data.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively in fast-paced, results oriented environment.
- Computer skills in MS Office, accounting software and databases.
