Accounting/Payroll Specialist II
Job Description
Under minimal supervision, responsible for processing Payroll, General Ledger, and various reports.
Processes weekly and bi-weekly time entry for payroll processing.
Analyzes all postings of payroll entries from Shared Services.
Prepares monthly journal entries and account reconciliations.
Performs weekly variance analysis.
Understands local and company polices as it pertains to Payroll.
Tracks and calculates vacation accrual for employees
Administration of PPE tracker and salaried vacation calendar.
Reconciles/audits agency labor invoices for accuracy.
Serves as the site timekeeping (Kronos) and payroll data (Peoplesoft) expert
Creates and distributes daily, weekly, and monthly periodic financial reports.
Will lead special projects to identify and/or implement cost reductions and improvement in cash flow.
Assists in other areas of the Finance department as needed.
Requires good analytical, written and oral skills, and must demonstrate the ability to work with people within the plant as well as at the Division and Corporate levels. Must have good attention to detail. Proficient computer skills (Excel, Word).
Associate's in Accounting,(Bachelor's preferred)
2+ years payroll, accounting/finance experience
