What you’ll be doing:

• Processing purchase invoices in the accounting system (Sage 200).
• Ensuring 3-way matching electronically of purchase orders, goods receipt notes and purchase invoices.
• Ensuring accuracy of PO/invoice coding/matching/authorisation.
• Validating outstanding POs/invoice queries.
• Supplier Statement reconciliations.
• Pro-actively resolving invoice variances/queries with suppliers and operations.
• Coding non-PO invoices and ensuring all invoices are duly authorised.
• Performing regular housekeeping checks and ensure ledgers are tidy.
• Dealing with auditor requests.
• Working to meet deadlines in accordance with month-end closedown timetable.
• Answering telephone calls, redirecting calls and taking messages.
• Assisting visitors to the business, ensuring they follow correct procedures for signing in.

About you:

• You’ll have excellent communication skills.
• You’ll be able to work to tight deadlines.
• You’ll be proficient in Microsoft packages.
• Having previous experience in a Purchase Ledger role would be advantageous.
• Having knowledge of SAGE systems would be helpful, however training will be provided.
• A qualification in administration and/or accounts would be desirable.
