Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Payable Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the company’s accounts payable processes, ensuring timely and accurate payment of invoices. This role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles and proficiency in accounting software. The Accounts Payable Accountant will play a vital role in maintaining financial accuracy and supporting overall business operations.
Duties
• Process and verify invoices for payment, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
• Maintain accounts payable records, including tracking and reconciling vendor statements.
• Perform general ledger reconciliation to ensure all transactions are accurately recorded.
• Analyze accounts payable data to identify discrepancies or issues that may arise.
• Collaborate with other departments, including Human Resources, to assist with benefits administration as needed.
• Utilize accounting software such as Syteline or other ERP system for efficient processing of transactions.
• Support the finance team in preparing reports related to accounts payable activities.
Requirements
• Proven experience in accounts payable or a similar accounting role.
• Strong knowledge of double entry bookkeeping principles.
• Familiarity with accounting software and systems; experience with Syteline or ERP systems is a plus.
• Assist with month end accruals.
• Excellent analytical skills to assess financial data and resolve discrepancies.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Good communication skills to collaborate with team members and vendors.
• Strong Excel skills.
• Receive, record, and bank cash, checks, and vouchers
• Comply with federal, state, and company policies, procedures and regulations.
Education & Experience
• Degree in Accounting and 2+ years experience in Accounts Payable role
• Strong Excel skills

Pay: $29.81 - $33.65 per hour
