Accounts Payable Associate (Temporary)

GILLIG LLC is the largest and most dependable manufacturer of Heavy-Duty Transit Buses in North America. Our customers are in all 50 states, and include cities, counties, transit districts, universities and major private fleet operators. We are headquartered in Livermore, CA.

Assists with the maintenance of day-to-day aspects of Accounts Payable.  Promotes good morale and strong productivity and proficiency with the Finance Department.

• Follows established Accounts Payable procedure as outlined in attached procedural document
• Responsible for three-way match processing by accepting invoices, ensuring quantities and costs of goods and services match the purchase order received in the system
• Resolves any purchase order versus invoiced cost discrepancies through coordination with Purchasing group
• Receives, files and processes various types of data and documents including processed payments following established procedures
• Interacts with peers throughout the organization to ensure they the internal and external customers have the proper financial and business systems tools to make the most proficient cost and business decisions
• Undertakes special projects at the direction of the Staff Accountant and AP Lead and/or Assistant Controller

• High school graduate.
• Two (2) years of increasingly complex administrative and or accounting experience. Accounts Payable experience preferred. 
• Proficient in MS Excel, and familiarity with accounting systems preferred
• Strong attention to detail and concern for accuracy

• Start time 7am 
• Heavy volume that is fast paced
• Working environment is an office setting
