Accounts Payable III

Are you an accounting professional who is passionate and wants to work in the Aerospace & Defense Industry? We may have the role for you! As an Accounts Payable III, you will reconcile vendor statements and follows up on discrepancies. You will be responsible for accurate coding, verification, and electronic entry of Accounts Payable data into an Automated Accounting System, processing high volumes of invoices, check requests, utilities and telecom bills. You will also reconcile and maintain outstanding checks and virtual card payments, maintain departmental process documents and desk instructions ensuring adherence to all Sierra Space Policies, Procedures, and Compliance regulations (internal and external).
Sierra Space, based in Louisville, Colorado with operations in Madison, Wisconsin, Durham, North Carolina, and Kennedy Space Center, Florida, designs and manufactures advanced spacecraft, satellites, propulsion and environmental systems, spacecraft subsystems and components for the U.S. government (including NASA), commercial customers and international organizations. Must Haves:

• High School Diploma or GED Equivalent and typically 4 or more years of relevant experience• Higher education may substitute for relevant experience• Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of required education
• Proficiency with Automated Accounting Systems
• Analytical abilities, time management, organizational and communication skills are essential

Preferred:

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies
• Knowledge of Sales and Use Tax requirements

Estimated Starting Salary Range: $24.39 - $33.54
