Overview

We’re excited to be looking for our first dedicated Accounts Payable Manager to join our Accounting team in Brooklyn, NY. Reporting to our Controller, you will manage vendor spend across our key AP systems (Tipalti, AMEX, and Abacus), establish process documentation, and implement controls to ensure best-in-class standards. Collaborating with our FP&A function and the broader business, you will be a key counterpart in assisting with monthly reforecasting.

What you’ll do

  • Manage our current AP processing system, Tipalti, to ensure accurate/consistent data coding, timely reviews by departments, and quick response times to vendors
  • Refresh the business on the AP process and what is expected of the business level review
  • Be a key business counterpart to our respective Brooklinen team members regarding onboarding vendors, payment follow-ups, and any other inquiries found in the team inbox
  • Centralize spend holistically under the AP function, including AMEX and Abacus processing
  • Take an active role in the ongoing Airbase implementation, to automate AMEX processing/recording
  • Manage our inventory and supplier payment process in NetSuite, by communicating with both internal/external contacts regarding status of weekly payments and collaborating with the broader business to forecast payments

We're looking for someone who brings

  • 4+ years of AP experience; prior experience in accounting and/or the e-commerce/retail industry is a plus!
  • High level of proficiency in Excel
  • Familiarity with systems including Tipalti, AMEX, Airbase, Abacus, and NetSuite ERP is a plus!
  • Proven track record of improving processes and systems and cross-functional collaboration
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent time management skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills – email etiquette and professionalism are essential
  • An entrepreneurial spirit, curious mindset, and eagerness to roll up your sleeves
