Accounts Payable Manager
Job Description
The A/P Manager will manage the monthly remittance payments to SpotHero’s operator partners, ensuring that proper controls have been followed and reconciliation of supporting schedules has been completed. The monthly remit process is a high volume, high dollar, high impact area of the business. You will lead a small team of accountants that will handle the traditional weekly vendor A/P payment processing and corporate expense card program in addition to the operator partner remit process. You will also work closely with our Revenue Team to provide excellent support to our supply vendors, ensure timely and accurate onboarding and offboarding of operators, and safeguard sensitive data such as banking and tax information. You’ll also work with your team to record/review journal entries related to operator remittance, while maintaining supporting balance sheet schedules.Â

What you will do:
- Lead and manage team of A/P accountants responsible for vendor A/P processing and Operator remit processing
- Manage the accounting side of supply vendor relationships including onboarding of new suppliers, maintaining correct payment data, and collecting W-9sÂ
- Lead operator remit process for transactions and manage all ACH, wire, and check payments
- Manage Travel & Expense software and banking systems for processing payments
- Investigate and resolve problems associated with the processing of payments and reporting
- Manage compliance with 1099-K filing process for approximately 5,000 vendors annually
- Collaborate with Revenue Team to provide excellent service to our supply vendors
- Work closely with Revenue Team to improve and/or automate key processes
- Support the annual auditing process with external auditors and internal staff
- Responsible for developing the team by providing training and timely feedback on a regular basis
- Contribute to the broader organization by approaching the role with a customer service mindset in support of business growth.
- Work cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, and People teams as the Finance SME on projects as needed

What you have:Â
- BS in Accounting,Â
- 6+ years experience across an in-house A/P team and extensive knowledge of A/P systems, procedures, and controls
- A demonstrated ability to build and lead a high performing teams
- Advanced knowledge of Excel and BI tools such as Looker, Tableau or Domo
- Ability to analyze information and processes
- Strong customer service and/or vendor management experience
- Motivation to develop internal and external relationships
- Experience in NetSuite a plus
- Excellent communication, analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills
