Job Description
Bond Vet is on a mission to strengthen the human-animal bond through better pet care. We’re focused on urgent care, so we’re there for pets when they need us most. Our clinics are designed with pets and people in mind: warm, friendly, and highly sniffable. We balance this design with a strong focus on technology, all built in-house, which means we can easily innovate our systems to improve the veterinary team, pet, and client experience.
About the Role:
Bond Vet is building the next generation of veterinary clinics from the ground up — and we’re looking for a motivated Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team.
This role will own the invoice process from start to finish for specific departments/vendors which includes, but is not limited to: verifying accuracy of the documentation, entering into the invoice platform, completing payments on time, and end of month statement reconciliation to ensure no invoice is missed. This person will be the first line of defense for vendor management. The AP Specialist is a pivotal part of the Accounting team during this exciting growth stage and will report directly to the Senior Director of Accounting. This role has the opportunity to grow and learn more about the financial statement close process and general accounting principles.
What You’ll Do:
- Accurately code invoices for your assigned department in Ramp and Netsuite
- Ensure timeliness of payments
- Use of excel to reconcile statements to determine if any invoices have been missed
- Monitor the AP inbox, answering vendor questions regarding statements and payments
- Gather new vendor information and input into the invoice platforms
- Issue 1099s at the end of the calendar year to all Bond’s applicable vendors
- Provide process improvements for the AP process
- Perform ad-hoc projects on an as needed basis
You Have:
- 2+ years of accounts payable or bookkeeping experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required
- Proficiency in Ramp or other expense management software
- Experience in veterinary or medical services, preferred not required
- Experience using basic excel formulas to aid in the efficiency of project completion
- Ability to work in a rapidly evolving and fast paced environment
- Self-motivated and capable of handling multiple tasks in a high-pressure environment
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong communication skills
We Offer:
- Support for your physical and mental wellness: 100% covered health insurance, low cost dental & vision, access to mental health support programs and free memberships to One Medical
- Time for you and loved ones: great PTO, fully paid parental leave, discounted Bond Vet services for pets
- Dedication to your financial future: competitive pay, 401k match, commuter benefits
Bond Vet provides equal opportunities for everyone that works for us and everyone that applies to join our team, without regard to sex or gender, gender identity, gender expression, age, race, religious creed, color, national origin, ancestry, pregnancy, physical or mental disability, medical condition, genetic information, marital status, sexual orientation, any service, past, present, or future, in the uniformed services of the United States (military or veteran status), or any other consideration protected by federal, state, or local law.
