Accounts Payable Specialist

IBM is looking for a self-driven and highly motivated Accounts Payable Specialist with proven experience to join our IBM Procurement Services team for one of IBM’s key clients in the USA.

• You will be responsible for following the Accounts Payable process set by our client ensuring compliance with IBM values and policies
• You will own responsibility to achieve client success against all contractual commitments
• You will ensure the delivery of a high quality work
• You will provide management with information and interpretation while ensuring high standards of financial control and analyzing and interpreting financial data
• You will provide recommendations for changes to standards and formulates procedures to address emerging issues not covered by existing standard policies.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

What you will bring to the team:

• Strong decision-making skills and demonstrated negotiation expertise
• AP/Finance attitude
• Supplier relationship management expertise and client facing skills
• Proactive character and team player attitude
• High levels of personal drive initiative and commitment to business goals
• Fluency in English and strong communication skills
• Minimum 1 year of Accounts Payable experience

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

Experience with the following are bonus points but not necessary you can learn them at IBM:

• Experience with dashboards and reporting tools in general
• Fluency in Italian or in Spanish is an advantage
• Experience with AP tools
