Accounts Payable Technician

The Accounts Payable Technician will control and process all disbursement and travel expenses to ensure proper coding, signatory approvals and supporting documentation to ensure compliance with company expense and control guidelines and work with all levels of employees, including management and external and internal auditors.

• Able to negotiate / dispute corporate expenses with all levels of operational and management employees.
• Verbal and written communications skills and basic bookkeeping knowledge.
• Review disbursement requisitions to ensure proper expense coding, authorized signatory approvals, and supporting documentation to assure compliance with company expense and control guidelines.
• Perform on-line, real time Accounts Payable entry functions pertaining to corporate disbursement checks, ACH and credit card payments.
• Able to track and control all payments for 1099 vendors through Accounts Payable to support our IRS guidelines.
• Knowledge of the various payment types of Cash Disbursements
• Knowledge of all Lawson AP module system screens and processes.
• Control the disbursement of corporate funds to ensure proper authorization and compliance with expense policies & IRS guidelines.
• Process all stop payments, voids, and corrections through Accounts Payable.
• Handle inquiries from Accounts Payable clients & consistently displays an attitude of courtesy and service.
• Perform other functions to include but not limited to financial records, NSF desk, Employee Services, etc.

Job Requirement:

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• 1+ years previous work experience.
• Knowledge of accounting and basic bookkeeping.
