What We Are Looking For:

The Accounts Receivable Manager will manage a set of accounting activities to ensure compliance with generally accepted accounting principles, corporate policies and external audits. This person will manage the fixed assets function, including accounting for software development and leases, and will be responsible for other internal projects as they arise.

The AR Manager will report to and work closely with the Treasurer and others in the organization in analysis and reconciliation of accounts and in development and implementation of accounting policies, procedures and controls, and in the development of technical accounting positions.  The ideal candidate possesses leadership capabilities, solid operational and technical accounting background and works proactively to drive results. This person is a self-starter, flexible, has a high level of integrity and is action and goal-oriented in a fast-paced, team-oriented, collaborative environment.

What You'll Do:

  • Review account balance reconciliations and accounting analyses as part of the monthly close process
  • Manage the Company’s Account Receivable accounting process, including keeping records of deposits and all correspondence regarding payment collection, and other areas as delegated
  • Oversee the activities of the Accounts Receivable to ensure the accurate and timely management of all Accounts receivable aging components including cash receipts & credit memos application.
  • Review Key Customer accounts on consistent basis to report errors/collection issues, and work closely with internal teams to help with customer account activities/discrepancies
  • Supervise, train and mentor AR staff accountants.
  • Continued focus on improving system efficiencies and business practices
  • Ensure compliance with internal control policies in a SOX environment
  • Collaborate with internal/external auditors to ensure successful audit results and compliance
  • Identifies / implements work process improvements to streamline accounting methods and increase the productivity of the Cashapps team, including documenting new process/new procedure to help out the business for future needs
  • Prepare necessary journals to reconcile Cash, Investment and Debt accounts

What You Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance required. Master’s preferred
  • 5-7 years of relevant experience with thorough knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP). CPA required. Experience in public accounting firm and/or publicly traded company.
  • Ability to perform technical research and communicate findings to stakeholders.
  • High personal standards for integrity and professional ethics.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to operate independently and as a part of a team.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, Experience with ERP systems, NetSuite preferred
