Accounts Receivable Manager - Remote

Summary:
The Accounts Receivable Manager manages/leads activities required to ensure the timely collection of payments from our customers and an accurate accounts receivable system. Oversees accounts receivable activities involving credit checks, cash application, correcting/reconciling error records, collecting accounts due, adjustment of customer claims, bankruptcy claims, payment term deviations, audit requirements, reporting, and maintenance of customer master file. Establishes and implements collection and account escalation procedures. Point person for customers, vendors sales team and other internal stakeholders.
Responsibilities:

• Responsible for setting objectives for the Accounts Receivable Team in accordance with broader finance goals.
• Work with Sales to resolve any outstanding receivables including direct contact with the customer.
• Provide accurate and timely AR related forecasts, reports and disclosures to Management and other stakeholders as needed to aid in the collections and/or financial reporting process. Examples include, but are not limited to the following:

Monthly KPIs
Specific reserves
Bad debt write-offs
Vendor fee accruals
Allowance for doubtful accounts
Quarterly disclosure checklist
Quarterly cash forecast
Other ad hoc reports as needed by various departments

• Manage any outside resources who take on collections responsibilities.
• Manage credit card processing procedures and systems.
• Review and approve client credit memos and refunds.
• Maintain and update credit policy/procedures.
• Function as a credit resource on general credit and collections issues.
• Performs other related duties and participates in special projects, process improvement initiatives and/or other system implementations as assigned.

Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor degree in Accounting or Finance or demonstrated ability to meet the job requirements through a comparable number of years of applicable work experience.
• 5-7 years of relevant work experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Proven work experience as an Accounts Receivable Manager or Supervisor.
• Team management and negotiation skills.
• Hands-on experience with SAP S4HANA (including SAP Fiori, AR, GL), Salesforce.
• Familiarity with advanced formulas/functions in MS Excel (including vlookups and pivot tables).
• Excellent analytical skills along with the ability to create and present detailed reports.
• Able to demonstrates ability to solve somewhat more complex problems by analyzing variables and applying appropriate solutions learned through experience and proficiency in understanding the job. Must be able to recognize anomalies and critical situations and respond appropriately.
• Must be able to communicate and interact with a variety of internal/external customers and/or co-workers at level of detail required to resolve issues of moderate complexity.
• Able to apply strong functional computer knowledge in utilizing Microsoft Windows or other technical tools in completing assignments. May require knowledge of or ability to quickly learn specialized software to complete work assignments.
• Able to demonstrate continued expertise in the primary tools or applications used in completing daily work assignments.
• Requires very good communication skills with ability to state messages in a clear manner by using language that is easy for others to understand.
• Must be able to proactively listen to others to understand issues and situations.
• Must be able to clearly articulate business needs to both internal and external customers.
