***Remote position - Looking for someone LOCAL IN UTAH***
Job Summary
This position is responsible for ensuring accuracy of cash application in systems. Responsibilities include payment entry & correct payment application, debits and credits, system generated account returns, monthly renewal audit and processes. Account reconciliation and troubleshooting of any account ledger errors as they arise. Interfaces with peers in the finance organization, equivalent counterparts in other departments, customers and 3rd party consultants, or vendors.
What you will do
- Cash ApplicationÂ
- Collection and application of CC, EFT, and check paymentsÂ
- Inputting of data into GP (accounting system)Â
- Ensuring accurate application of payments to accountsÂ
- Finance Manager ApprovalsÂ
- Analyzing quotes for errors, returns, correct pricing, start and end dates, and analyzing account past due status.Â
- Working with Sales on any resolving discrepancies or errorsÂ
- Ensure account is in good standing prior to new product purchase.Â
- Account Credits/ DebitsÂ
- Moving invoices, credits, or payments as necessaryÂ
- Manage ACH and CC ChargebacksÂ
- Issue account credits and debits as required.Â
- System Generated Returns
- Pull system data to itemize needed account adjustments.Â
- Ensure accuracy of CRM software to accounting system communicationÂ
- Enter new credit cases/ finance escalation (amendment) cases as necessary.Â
- Tax- Exempt AccountsÂ
- Verifying legitimacy of tax-exempt accountsÂ
- Issuance of tax-adjustmentsÂ
- Update exemption status in third-party software and CRMÂ
- Miscellaneous fixing any unforeseen cash application errors per system error-Â
- Monthly Audit processes, as needed.Â
- Billing Resolutions, as needed.Â
- Customer Refunds, as needed.Â
Qualifications
Must have:
- Typically 2 or more years of related experience.
- High School education, with some college experience, vocational training and/or on the job training.
- Experience with CRM and Accounting software, in particular, Salesforce CPQ, Siebel and Great PlainsÂ
- Experience with MS Office applicationsÂ
- Must have excellent attention to detail.
- Good communication, decision making, organization skills, trouble shooting, and interpersonal skills are required.
- Because of the nature of the position, a high level of confidentiality and trust is required.
- Ability to work independently and good computer proficiency is required.
- PC literate, general typing skills are required.Â
- Ability to develop spread sheets and reports on a computer using various software.Â
- Strong follow-up skills required along with excellent interpersonal skills required dealing with management and non- management.Â
- Time management skills and the ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Customer service oriented and ability to work with complex issues
- Interpersonal communication skills
- Written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to maintain confidential and highly sensitive information

The posted range for this position is $17 - $20 which is the expected starting base salary range for an employee who is new to the role to fully proficient in the role. Many factors go into determining employee pay within the posted range including prior experience, current skills, location/labor market, internal equity, etc.Â
