Accounts Receivable Senior Associate

SUMMARY OF FUNCTIONS: The Accounts Receivable Senior Associate will be responsible for full cycle billing, collections, and revenue recognition. The individual will have a thorough understanding of GAAP debits and credits, the capability to learn new technology and systems quickly and the ability to work in a dynamic environment.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Record new awards and purchase orders in the accounting system
• Prepare invoices for review
• Record and reconcile payments
• Contact clients for invoice discrepancies and payment resolution
• Resolve vendor invoice discrepancies
• Maintain billing accounts and records
• Prepare monthly revenue and Accounts Receivable analysis
• Prepare recuring compliance reports for government agencies and vendors
• Prepare monthly sales tax reports
• Produce reports as required by management

ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS:

Reports to Corporate Controller.

QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• Active Certified Public Accountant license (CPA), preferred
• Adherence to and ability to manage teams to strict deadlines
• Honesty and integrity

DESIRED TRAITS:

• Prior Accounting Manager, or other significant accounting experience
• Continual focus on finance (and other) operational improvements to save cost and time
• Public accounting experience
