POSITION SUMMARY

Amylyx is seeking a highly motivated, experienced, and detail-oriented individual to join our fast-paced team as an Accounts Receivable Specialist (Rebates). In this role, you will have the opportunity to contribute to every aspect of our Revenue Accounting function including receivables, gross to net pricing, government pricing, rebate accrual and other processes.  You will be a key member in the preparation of the Company’s revenue reporting that will be used internally and as a part of our quarterly external reporting.  You will also be a part of the preparation and review of our government price reporting requirements.  This role will require collaboration with our Commercial, Market Access, and Data Analytics teams as well as external consultants.  This role reports to the Head, Revenue Accounting. RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Track receivable balances including chargebacks, returns and other discounts.
  • Analyze and validate rebate claims for Medicaid, Medicare and payer rebates for Canada and US ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with contractual agreements.
  • Establish and maintain effective collaboration with third-party logistics (3PL) partners to monitor and manage outstanding accounts receivable balances, reconciling for the regions of the US, Canada, and Europe.
  • Reconcile revenue cash and prepaid accounts ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with accounting standards.
  • Develop trend analysis for 340B, Medicare and Medicaid leveraging claims.
  • Prepare journal entries for Revenue and Accounts Receivable, while ensuring these journal entries align with organizational and regulatory requirements.
  • Validate and verify the accuracy of 340B claims through the HRSA (Health Resources and Services Administration) website, ensuring adherence to program requirements and eligibility criteria.
  • Track and reconcile rebates for public and private payers in Canada, employing data-driven insights to create trend analyses.
  • Contribute to special projects related to government pricing and revenue recognition.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in biotech/pharmaceutical companies or Big 4 accounting experience.
  • Prior experience with ERP systems; NetSuite preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Deeply committed to accuracy and pride in attention to detail.
  • Strong decision-making, time management and organizational skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite of applications
  • Self-starter with the demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced atmosphere and ability to problem solve with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects.
