Triumvirate Environmental, one of the largest environmental services firms in North America, is seeking an experienced, detail oriented, self-motivated, and well-organized Accounts Receivable Specialist.

In this role you will be responsible for engaging and developing relationships with customers based in the United States and Canada to facilitate the timely collections of receivables, as well as resolve issues related to delinquent payments.

This position reports to the Director of Credit and Collections and supports the Vice President of Finance. This is a hybrid role and is based in our Somerville, MA corporate office.

Essential responsibilities:

• Accurately and effectively collect outstanding balances from customers and post customer receivables and credits to the general ledger while maintaining detailed account records that allow for in-depth analysis of customer activity.
• Conduct credit reviews and analysis of current and new vendors.
• Research discrepancies and eliminate obstacles to collecting past due balances.
• Assist in month end closing, reconciliation of accounts receivable, prepare schedules, sales, and accounts receivable reconciliation.
• Maintain the necessary data to accurately bill and remit sales tax to all tax authorities on a timely basis, as well as ensure that all tax exemption certificates are current.
• Professionally communicate with customers and work cross departmentally to effectively resolve credit and collection issues.
• Assist in the reporting of credit and collection metrics and perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Credit and Collections.

 Requirements:

• BS or BA degree.
• 3+ years of prior accounts receivable and collections experience.
• Strong professional phone and negotiation skills are necessary.
• Proficient MS Excel skills.
• Familiarity with Oracle ERP experience is a plus, but not required.
• Heavy reporting and analyzation skills.
• Must have strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• The ability to multitask and prioritize workflow.
• Work well under pressure when meeting deadlines.
• Time management and organizational skills; as well as the ability to quickly adapt to change and shift gears frequently.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
