Job Description
We're hiring a hands-on Team Lead for Accounts Receivable (AR) with expertise in complex business-to-business collections, chargebacks, and purchase order matching. This full-time remote role emphasizes strong organizational skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
This is a full-time, remote position, M-F, 8:30a β 5:30p Eastern time, and requires the ability to work independently.

Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for AR team members, necessitating excellent communication skills.
- Lead the Accounts Receivable team by setting a positive example and engaging team members to collectively achieve goals.
- Demonstrate a customer-centric focus and collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure a positive customer journey.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to a team of Accounts Receivable Specialists, ensuring adherence to all processes.
- Actively participate as a hands-on member of the AR team, sharing responsibilities and contributing to day-to-day tasks.
- Collaborate with peers and colleagues to ensure seamless adherence to processes.
- Oversee the preparation and posting of high-volume and complex daily cash receipts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial procedures.
- Lead the reconciliation of customer accounts, ensuring the provision of backup information to customers.
- Take charge of preparations for audits, ensuring that all necessary documentation and records are organized and readily available for review.
- Direct the monitoring of the credit hold queue, implementing strategies to address credit-related issues promptly and efficiently.
- Conduct a detailed analysis of the Aging Report every week.
- Track and maintain weekly metrics related to various Accounts Receivable data points.
- Work in partnership with colleagues to investigate and resolve customer accounts.
- Identify and implement process improvements within the Accounts Receivable Team.
- Lead the invoicing process according to company practices, overseeing the timely creation of invoices and their submission to customers.
- Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the companyβs products and services.
- Support the Accounting Manager in various departmental projects.
- Assist in the formulation of internal controls and policies to comply with legislation and established best practices.
Requirements:
- Experience performing business-to-business, enterprise-level collections.
- Experience with chargebacks and purchase order matching.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting preferred.
- 1 β 2 years of experience in a leadership role.
- Proven track record of developing and coaching others to enhance performance.
- Ability to work business hours in the Eastern Time Zone.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work remotely, in your home office.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to multitask.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Strong work ethic and willingness to take ownership of wide-ranging responsibilities.
- Ability to anticipate work needs and interact professionally with customers.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc).
